A visiting Airman, from the USAAF, stationed in Alaska told of his experience of whale-meat and how difficult it is to eat, especially the fatty layers close to the skin. ¬†And of how the native Alaskans made an ‘ice-cream’ from snow, sugar and whatever else ‘in-season’ which could be whale meat.
